Topic: January is the start of a New Year. So, No more excuses – let’s get involved in our schools and our communities.

Our panel will consist of:

Dr. Wendolyn Bouie, Assistant Superintendent, DeKalb Board of Education

Nathaniel Paxton, Sr., President DeKalb County Council of PTA’s.

Nadine Rivers Johnson, community associate, Mainstreet Community to talk about their Young Men’s Leadership Academy as an example of a community program where the residents got involved.

Dr. Kenneth L. Samuel, pastor and founder of Victory Church.

Topics will cover PTA involvement, the drop out rate and retention, gangs, faith based organizations, community programs and how do we get folks without kids in their homes involved in our schools and communities.

Come listen to these experts as they discuss these issues. We welcome your input and questions.

You will have the opportunity to ask the project experts your
relevant questions that are important and timely to you and your family.
