Welcome from PLAIN

Welcome to Pine Lake, DeKalb County’s smallest city and biggest secret.

If you’re anything like the rest of us, you’ve been looking for a community like this one — a place where you know your neighbors and they know you, where the natural environment and the arts are considered top priorities.

Pine Lake is just such a place. From the monthly pancake breakfasts to clean-up projects and more, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to get to know your neighbors … and make new friends.

The Pine Lake Association of Involved Neighbors (PLAIN) is an integral part of many of those activities. PLAIN sponsors a monthly pancake breakfast, mardi gras brunch, outreach to the surrounding neighborhoods,  a vibrant caring and sharing program to help neighbors in need (such as co-sponsoring the food pantry during the pandemic), support for LakeFest, and much more.

To keep you posted on all that activity, PLAIN publishes and distributes a newsletter, PLAINTalk, to all Pine Lake residents. The newsletter — and other information about PLAIN — is available online as well, at http://www.plainhelps.org/

We’re glad to have you as a new neighbor, and hope you’ll join us at any of our activities and introduce yourself.

Better yet, we hope you’re so thrilled about this vibrant community that you want to be even more involved — and take the opportunity to become a member of PLAIN. Your entire household can join the organization for $30 per year (the year runs July 1-June 30), and your membership benefits include discounts on Pine Lake events and discounts on PLAINTalk advertising.

PLAIN’s monthly membership meeting is on the third Thursday of each month, at 7:00 p.m. at the Club House. We hope to see you there, and everywhere as you explore your new city and find out why Pine Lake’s residents think they live in Georgia’s best city.

Again, welcome to Pine Lake! Please contact us if you have questions.
