Tonight (Thursday) at 7:30pm, Mayor and Council will hold a public meeting in the Court House about the proposed millage rate increase (from 14.3 cents per thousand, to 17.1 cents per thousand, based on 40% of the home’s assessed value).*
Copies of the budget will be available.
A final vote will be taken at Council meeting on Monday, June 14. Citizens comments may also be made at that time.
* For a Pine Lake home assessed at $150,000, the increase would be approximately $168 a year, or $14/month; for a $200,000 house it would be a $224 increase, $18.66/month.
