RSVP for Community Food Forum in Pine Lake

From Norcross to Clarkston to South Fulton, cities are rapidly re-developing. As our metro Atlanta cities become more dense and developed, the pressure on urban farms and gardens increases. In partnership with Atlanta Regional Commission, Food Well Alliance will embark on a pilot project that brings together local governments and communities across the five-county metro Atlanta region to create a city-wide plan that incorporates urban agriculture into the next phase of their development.

In 2019, Food Well Alliance will select one pilot city to develop a City Urban Agriculture Plan. Seven cities have submitted their interest in becoming the pilot city. As part of our selection process, Food Well Alliance will host a Community Food Forum in each of these cities.
Forums will serve to inform and assess the readiness of both the local government and the local community to participate in a comprehensive and inclusive planning process with Food Well Alliance and Atlanta Regional Commission.

The following cities will host a Community Food Forum in February or March, 2019.
