What a GORGEOUS (though treacherous) day it is here in Pine Lake! I got out for a walk at about 7:30, as soon as I could see blue sky and sunshine. The hamlet, for the most part, was deafeningly silent, all ambient sounds having been muffled by the thick blanket of snow.
The roads were covered with crunchy ice on top of black ice. The few cars that I saw out and about were taking it very, very slowly.
