As you know we are in the middle of a health crisis. Above all we want everyone to be safe and healthy.
In order to help promote the safety and security of our most vulnerable citizens the city of Pine Lake is creating a food bank to assist neighbors in need during this time of uncertainty and unpredictability regarding the corona virus outbreak. If you need assistance or if you know of someone who needs assistance please call 470-217-2393 and/or email email@example.com.
While we prefer monetary donations food donations can be dropped off at the clubhouse on Clubhouse Dr. Beginning April 3 we are now accepting food donations only on the first Saturday of the month, 9am to 11am at the Clubhouse. The types of donations that are acceptable are non-perishables. We are only accepting items that packaged in plastic, glass or metal so that they can be thoroughly disinfected before delivery. Please do not bring fresh, frozen, or cooked food. (click here for a printable Food Pantry flyer)
Here is a list of items we would like:
Canned vegs, fruit, meat, beans
In order to receive food items a person or family should fall into one of these categories:
– no access to food
– not receiving income at this time or it is not financially feasible to purchase food
– No access to transportation
– Must live in Pine Lake
All requests are confidential.
Please be sensitive and do not request food unless you are in one of the situations above as we do not have a steady flow of donations at this time.
