On Monday, June 14 at 7pm, Mayor and Council will hold a public meeting in the Court House about the proposed millage rate increase (from 14.3 cents per thousand, to 17.1 cents per thousand, based on
40% of the home’s assessed value).*
Copies of the budget will be available.
A final vote will be taken later that night, during regular Council meeting on Monday, June 14. Citizens comments may also be made at that time. Thanks to the 10 people who attended last night, offering comments and asking questions.
* For a Pine Lake home assessed at $150,000, the increase would be approximately $168 a year, or $14/month; for a $200,000 house it would be a $224 increase, $18.66/month.
