PLAIN’S COMMUNITY WORK

Neighbor 2 Neighbor aka N2N – PLAIN provides emergency support to neighbors in need.

Food Pantry – PLAIN had built a small self serve food pantry and funds the food pantry

Recycling Program – PLAIN collects styrofoam, electrical products, glass, etc at the Club House every other month

Monthly breakfasts at the Beach House – PLAIN seeks to bring the community together with mostly monthly breakfasts. This also includes a Mardi Gras brunch and collaborative brunches with the Pine Lake Lounge.

Sunset Soirees at the Beach House – PLAIN invites the community to meet at the beach house for refreshments and generally hanging out to enjoy each other and the sunset view of the lake

Candidate Forum – PLAIN hosted a forum for residents to meet and hear from the candidates for City Council as they answer questions from the community. Residents were able to submit questions online for the candidates in advance

Monthly News Letter – PLAIN issues a monthly newsletter to inform the community, not only of PLAIN events, but community events, and events that are of interest outside of Pine Lake

Working with the City to allow free rental of the Beach House and Club House for community wide use.

Pickleball/Tennis Court – PLAIN, after a resident offered to help fund, is helping the city secure a resurfacing contract for our tennis/pickleball court

Rockbridge Elementary School – 2017 Until 2024 – Teacher support in the form of appreciation lunches, school supplies and winter coats for students in need. We are currently looking for a liaison to continue this project.
