Our History is Now – Voices Carry

Women’s History Month returns to Pine Lake this March with a three-part Friday evening series celebrating women’s leadership, storytelling, and lived experiences. Produced by Melanie Hammet and The Ground Crew, this year’s program highlights the voices of immigrant and refugee women whose work strengthens communities locally and globally.

Featured speakers include Doris Mukangu (Kenya), Founder and Director of Amani Women’s Center (Atlanta/Ghana), and Han Pham(Viet Nam), Executive Director of Her Term. Hosted at the Pine Lake Beach House and Club House, each evening offers an intimate, community-centered experience where personal history becomes shared civic memory and meaningful connection.
